Foundry production value reached 24.4 billion U.S. dollars in the second quarter and hit a record high

According to the revenue ranking, the top ten foundries are TSMC, Samsung, UMC, GlobalFoundries, SMIC, Hua Hong Group, Power Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd., World Advanced (VIS), Tower Semiconductor (Tower ), DBHiTek (DBHiTek).

In the second quarter of this year, TSMC’s revenue reached $13.3 billion, an increase of 3.1% from the previous quarter, again easily surpassing other foundries. Following TSMC is Samsung. Samsung’s revenue in the second quarter was US$4.33 billion, an increase of 5.5% from the previous quarter. Ranked third is UMC. The company’s revenue in the second quarter reached US$1.82 billion, an increase of 8.5% from the previous quarter, and its market share was roughly the same at 7.2%.

GlobalFoundries ranked fourth, with revenue of US$1.52 billion in the second quarter, an increase of 17% from the previous quarter. SMIC ranked fifth, with revenue of US$1.34 billion in the second quarter, an increase of 21.8% from the previous quarter, and its market share increased to 5.3%.

Ranked sixth is Hua Hong Group. The company’s revenue in the second quarter reached 658 million US dollars, an increase of 9.7% from the previous quarter. Power Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd. ranked seventh, with revenue of US$460 million in the second quarter, an increase of 18.3% from the previous quarter.

 Ranked eighth in the world advanced, the second quarter revenue reached 363 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 11.1% from the previous quarter. This is the first time the company’s revenue surpassed Tower Semiconductor.

 Ranked ninth and tenth are Gaota Semiconductor and Dongbu Hi-Tech. Among them, the second quarter revenue of Tower Semiconductor reached 362 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 4.3% from the previous quarter. Eastern Hi-Tech’s revenue in the second quarter reached US$245 million, an increase of 12% from the previous quarter.
